What is a zine?
A fanzine, or zine, is an unofficial, fanmade magazine dedicated to fanworks of a particular piece of media, character, or topic. Warforged in particular is focused on the survivors of Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc.Who are the THH survivors?
For the purposes of this zine, we intend to focus on the characters Makoto Naegi, Kyoko Kirigiri, Byakuya Togami, Aoi Asahina, Yasuhiro Hagakure, and Toko Fukawa. Other characters will be included, but the main focus of each piece should be one, or several, of these characters.Will the zine be free?
The zine might either be free or for charity, depending on the results of the interest check.Will the zine be digital or physical?
The zine will likely be digital, but the final decision will be based on the results of the interest check.What types of contributors are you looking for?
We are looking for a cover artist, page artists, writers, and merch artists.Who is allowed to apply?
We ask that all applicants be over the age of 18 by the time contributor results are released (November 6, 2026).Can I apply for multiple roles?
Yes! Feel free to apply for as many roles as you like! Please just keep in mind that you can only be accepted for one role.Will ships be allowed in this zine?
Side ships and background ships will be allowed, but we ask that the main focus of pieces remain on individuals or platonic dynamics!Will contributors be able to focus on other THH characters in an AU where there were different survivors?
Not this time, unfortunately! Alternate survivor AUs are very interesting, but for this zine, we want to focus on the friendships and dynamics between the canon survivors.Will canon divergence be allowed?
It depends! We ask that all pieces take place after THH. For example, you could do a piece set during UDG, DR2, or the Future arc of DR3, and you could explore canon divergence and alternate scenarios within those settings, but pieces should all take place in the baseline Danganronpa setting.Is this zine SFW?
Yes, this zine will be SFW. Zine pieces will not contain sexual content or excessive violence, but explicit language and violence up to and including the level of violence portrayed in canon Danganronpa content will be allowed, so viewer discretion is still advised.

Guidelines

General Contributor Guidelines
- All contributors must be 18+ by the time application results come out (November 6, 2026)
- All links must be viewable to anyone! If your links are not accessible, we will sadly have to disregard your application :( You can double check this by opening the link in an incognito/private tab.
- At least one of your samples should feature Danganronpa characters. Pieces featuring the THH survivors are encouraged, but not required.For Page Artists
- Please submit 3 samples of your best work in a similar style to what you’d like to use for your zine piece.
- At least one of your pieces should have a background.
- Please also include a portfolio with additional pieces. This can be a drive link, a social media page, a personal website, etc. Please just make sure it’s visible to everyone!For Merch Artists
- Please submit 3 samples of your best work in a similar style to what you’d like to use for your zine piece.
- If you’re interested in creating merch with a complex background (wallpapers, banners, etc.) Please make sure at least one of your samples has a background. If not, backgrounds are not required!
- Please also include a portfolio with additional pieces. This can be a drive link, a social media page, a personal website, etc. Please just make sure it’s visible to everyone!For Writers
- Please submit 3 samples of your best work in a similar style to what you’d like to use for your zine piece.
- Your samples should be between 1500-2500 words. At least one sample should be a complete story, but the others can be excerpts from longer stories.
- Please also include a portfolio with additional pieces. This can be a drive link, a social media page, a personal website, etc. Please just make sure it’s visible to everyone!
